Admission Procedure

Eligibilty

  • M.Tech/M.Sc/M.Arch/​M.​Des in any discipline aligned with ​the research thrust areas of the school.
  • The candidate should have cleared national eligibility tests UGC NET/GATE/CEED/CSIR.
  • Candidates with B.Tech from IITs, NITs and other Centrally Funded Institutes are eligible for direct PhD admission if their CGPA is above 8.0.
  • External Direct PhD Students: At least 2 years of relevant experience with NOC can be eligible for admission as External Direct PhD. Further, they will be treated as ‘External Students’ and will be eligible for 12 credits of course requirements as applicable for ‘External Students’. All such external direct PhD students are to be awarded Ph.D. without M Tech degree.
  • The Greenko School of Sustainability provides a highly competitive fellowships for those who wish to go an extra mile to pursue doctoral studies on Sustainable Engineering. 
  • The school offers about six fellowships per year with a fellowship of INR 75,000 per month with a contingency grant of INR 2,00,000 per annum. 
  • Successful fellows will get an opportunity to work in cutting-edge research undertaken by the faculty of the school. 
  • The fellowship is available for four years. 
  • List of selected candidates will be released after the selection. Selected applicants will be communicated through emails. The list will also be made available on school webpage. The applicants should ensure the accuracy of the email address provided and check their emails regularly for updates
  • Selection will be based on written test/interview.

Sustainable Engineering (M.Tech)

Admission Procedure

Eligibilty

  • Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria are permitted to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in the following subjects: Architecture and Planning (AR), Biotechnology (BT), Civil Engineering (CE), Chemical Engineering (CH), Chemistry (CY), Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Environmental Science and Engineering (ES), Ecology and Evolution (EY), Geology and Geophysics (GG), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), Mechanical Engineering (ME),
  • The submission of a GATE score is a mandatory.
  • The selection of candidates will be conducted in accordance with the online COAP process.
  • MoE scholarship will be available for GATE qualified selected candidates.
  • The school also supports ten additional fellowships for which GATE qualification is compulsory.  
  • The selected applicants will be notified via email. The list will also be posted on the department's website, and candidates should regularly check their email for updates. For the selection process, the COAP guidelines will be adhered to.
